Fabulous Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q

Welcome Back! Today we went to Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q near Little Five Points in Atlanta. We started off with fried dill pickles. I don't really like pickles but these were pretty good. My Mom loves them and she said they were the best she ever had. My main meal was Chopped Brisket Sandwich with crispy, salty, outstanding fries. The brisket was juicy but the sauce could have used a little more kick. The Banana Pudding!!! It was a creamy pudding with vanilla wafers on top. Make sure you order this when you go! I have drank a lot of sweet tea in my life but they had some of the best I have ever tasted. A real southern sweet tea! I ended up drinking several glasses since it was 97 in Atlanta today. Until next time, try to stay cool!

Magnificent Maggianos

My first food blog is about one of my favorite restaurants - Maggiano's!! The first dish we had was bread with a crispy outside yet a soft inside. The best salad I ever had was their Caesar Salad! It had crispy lettuce, parmesan cheese, and just the right amount of creamy Caesar dressing. The main dish was their Mom's Lasagna with meat sauce. The meat sauce was spicy but had just the right heat. It was a BIG portion, not even I could eat all of it. The kids meal comes with delicious vanilla ice cream or lemon cookies. The cookies were good but I could have done without the chocolate on top. It was my Mom's birthday dinner so we also got the Mini Dessert Sampler. It had Creme Brulee, Tiramisu, Apple Crostada, Chocolate Zuccotto Cake, and New York Style Cheesecake. The creme brulee had a nice crust on top and a perfect creamy center. I myself did not like the tiramisu because of the coffee taste. The apple crostada with vanilla ice cream was just right. The cheesecake was my favorite because of the creamy cheesecake and the whipped cream on top. The presentation of the desserts was amazing! On your way out make sure to get one of the mints - if you have the room!
If you go to the Maggiano's at Cumberland, ask for Gerald. He is one of the best waiters I have ever had!
Come back soon to see what restaurant Picky Patrick reviews next...
Ciao!!
